Have you noticed, we have skipped nearly a whole month of shopping???
This is why it’s good to have a stockpile. My rib has still not healed and I just couldn’t propel this chair through the stores to shop. We got milk, eggs, bread. That’s all the last 3 1/2 weeks. Everything else, came right from the stockpile. Which, is starting to dwindle. We could comfortably go about 2 more weeks before I’d panic. Next week, rib or no rib, it’s time to start restocking!
I sent Grandpa to the store for a few things with coupons. And he did more than a fantastic job! Not only did he spend $0 out of pockets, he actually came home with over $100 cash. We ordered Chinese take out! How’d he do it? He stopped at the casino (Vegas, baby!) dropped $20 in a slot machine and hit it for $180. =) I know, technically, that does not count into the whole ‘couponing gig’ but, it counts in the saving $$ gig! And, he did do the right thing at CVS when the register wasn’t ringing up the $5 ECB’s he was supposed to get back! He called a manager over and made them correct it! I wish I would have been there to see it! He laid that down in front of me before even telling me about the slot payout! I’m SO proud!

OOP: $18.08 (+ $5.00 ECB’s For Next Trip) See! If he had used his own $$ he still did awesome, right!

- (1) 24ct Good Value Cheese
- (6) SoBo LifeWaters
- (1) 2pk Fancy Schmancy Kind of Pens Not On The List (?)
- (1) 3pk AquaTech Fish Tank Filters
- (2) Pure Heppa Air Filters For AC/Furnace
Retail: $50.00 even (no clue how he did that other then the fancy schmancy pens not only the list??)
OOP: $46.02
This week it was the dog food and air filters that killed it for us and if he could hit a slot for $180 every time before we hit the stores, I’d totally let him do it!
