BUT!! It’s totally TOP SECRET! Do NOT let your friends and family in on this one… Ok, Kidding. Tell everyone you know. Just don’t say you heard it from me. Deal?

Now,Gortons Seafood Fishermans Friday Recipe Review Giveaway normally, we all associate Gorton’s with what? Fish-sticks, right? They’ve thrown in some pretty tasty curve balls to mix things up! They now have Skillet Crisp Tilapia and Grilled Selections for the non-breaded loving folks, Grilled Tilapia, Grilled Shrimp and Grilled Salmon!

When they asked us to give their new line a try, it was a toss up here at Grandma Juice’s house, but we chose the Grilled Tilapia and made a whole new recipe surrounding it! Want to see what we created?

Margarita Grilled Tilapia With Sun-Dried Tomato and Herb Rice
Ingredients:

  • 1 Package Gorton’s Signature Grilled Tilapia
  • 1 1/3 Low Sodium Chicken Broth (we use Swanson’s)
  • 1/2 TBSP Corn Starch
  • 1 Cup Rice or 1 Box Sun-Dried Tomato / Herb Packaged Rice Mix (We used Uncle Ben’s)
  • 1/3 Cup Margarita (We Used Skinny Girl)
  • 1 TBSP Butter
  •  1 TBSP Fresh Lemon Juice

Directions:
Gortons Seafood Fishermans Friday Recipe Review Giveaway  Defrost Gorton’s Fish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk chicken broth and corn starch. Pour into large non-stick skillet and place on stove-top over medium heat.
Add rice and margarita to broth mixture, cover skillet. Turn down heat and let simmer, stirring occasionally until rice is thoroughly cooked.
Add butter and Gorton’s Signature Grilled Tilapia and cover. Let all simmer for approximately 15 minutes covered.
Remove from heat and plate. Add lemon juice to taste and serve!

And… Tada! This is what we had. It was delicious! 2 Forks up!
