Green Kids Crafts Easy Fun at Home Discovery Box

Green kids crafts sound awesome don’t they? I really wish I was more of a crafty kinda person. You know the kind. They see some glitter, construction paper, a few cotton balls, paper clips and twine, add in a hot glue gun and they go all MacGyver on that stuff. Before you know it you have a perfect pair of sparkly fairy wings that really make your kid fly and perform random, magic acts of kindness around town? (slight exaggeration?) I’m more of a ‘Oh, look! A pillowcase. Let’s jump off the couch and be superheros!” (not an exaggeration)

I have some paper, crayons and a gazillion awesome green kids crafts ideas I found on Pinterest. But, now what? The genius folks over at Green Kids Crafts have sent me some help!

Green Kids Crafts

What is Green Kids Crafts?

Founded in 2010, Green Kid Crafts is the original earth-friendly, craft  subscription company. We are a mom-owned, green company that offers natural, sustainable, and responsible choices for craft projects. We believe that the green movement helps people make better decisions in their daily lives for a healthier environment. Our green craft kits are an inexpensive tool for parents and teachers to use to educate children about recycling, reducing waste, and protecting the environment.

Green Kids Crafts

Ethan decided to do his green kids crafts with Grandma Keller when they came for Thanksgiving. She’s a very (very!) crafty person! He was smart to wait and not settle with me and my pillowcase ideas. They dug into the box and found three full projects, complete  instructions and a list of fun, simple green kids crafts to do in addition to the packaged ones. He of course went straight to the Dino Tail making project. It uses a large felt triangle, acid-free stickers, recycled sticky felt, and a natural fiber Sinamay Ribbon. Thanksgiving Boy over here and Grandma Keller got busy putting it together and in about 20 minutes had this awesome Dino Tail he then wore for the rest of the day. I think it goes perfect with his hat, don’t you?

Green Kid Crafts is a great monthly subscription box that kids will really love waiting for the mailman to drop off! All kids love getting stuff in the mail, right? And, if they are like Ethan they love doing crafts. If you’re like me and simply need a little inspiration and not just all those Pinterest pictures this is also perfect! For those of you homeschooling, this is a great way to incorporate Art classes into the schedule!

We found Green Kids Crafts not only to be really fun, but also a great, easy way to add some one on one time doing something other than sitting in front of the TV together! Everything you need to go all MacGyver with your kids is right there in the kits! Aside from checking out their website for everything you’ll need to sit, create and get your craft on, visit Green Kids Crafts on Facebook. Be sure to sign up for their weekly craft tips sent right to you inbox too. Monthly boxes are available for 19.95. Gift subscriptions are available for 3, 6 and 12 months. Keep up with them on Twitter as well!
