California Wine Club Sent Me The Perfect Gift Idea!
The 2 bottles I received this month from www.cawineclub.com were just as amazing as last month’s! The red, was surprisingly amazing! And, I don’t say that often about reds! I received a 2009 Merlot by Daniel Gehrs (which is a 2x gold medal winner and silver winner) The Merlot offers “an aroma of black cherries, raspberries, and warm, tanned leather with hints of cranberry and blueberry”. Obviously goes great with any meat dish. Also, perfect on Thursdays!
The bottle of white was good. I think I liked last month’s white better personally. Not bad by any means. Not even a little. The 2011 Chenin Blanc by Daniel Gehrs (a gold, silver, and bronze medal winner!!) The Chenin Blanc “exhibits ripe pear, quince, wild flowers, and golden honey”. This is what I used to make the Chicken Marsala!
